Who we are
The Yards Group is a surplus recovery practice. We help property owners, heirs, and other eligible claimants identify and recover surplus funds held by county clerks following certain property sales.
What we do
When a property is sold under certain circumstances, the sale can produce more than the amount owed. The difference, often called surplus funds, is held by the county on behalf of the people who may be entitled to it. These funds are frequently left unclaimed because the parties who are owed them are never notified.
We review public records, identify funds that may be owed, notify the people who appear to be entitled to them, and guide eligible claimants through the recovery process. Our role is to handle the paperwork, coordination, and follow-through so that a claim is prepared accurately and pursued to completion.
